Rohit Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Biotechnology at Shoolini University. He has a doctoral degree in Animal Biochemistry from ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from CSK HP Agricultural University, Palampur, and a BSc from Panjab University, Chandigarh. 

With over nine years of postdoctoral experience, Asst Prof Sharma has a remarkable publication record, contributing to over 36 papers in high-impact journals. His outstanding contributions have earned him numerous national and international fellowships, awards, and extramural grants. Notable among them are the DST-INSPIRE Faculty fellowship, DST-Young Scientist fellowship, SERB-Research Scientist Fellowship, Travel Award by ISAPP, USA, and the NASI-Young Scientist Platinum Jubilee Award in Biomedical Sciences in 2020. His research has garnered attention, being highlighted in various national (DD) and international news. Asst Prof Sharma was recognised in the Top 2% of most influential scientists by Stanford University in 2023. 

Actively contributing to the academic community, he serves on several reputed journals' review and editorial boards and is a member of notable scientific societies. 

His research is centred around unravelling the cellular and molecular basis of ageing and exploring its modulation through natural mediators, including dietary bioactive agents such as polyphenols and probiotic bacteria. Additionally, he has identified unique anti-ageing properties in green tea components and holds a patent for novel tea-based synbiotic functional foods.
