India’s largest quiz for school students, the Q?riosity Quiz, has returned with a bang after a year-long hiatus! Hosted by Ideas that Matter at Shoolini University, the quiz commenced on September 1, 2024. This season saw an impressive turnout of over 700 schools and more than 35,000 enthusiastic participants from classes 10, 11, and 12.
The Q?riosity Quiz celebrates critical thinking, aptitude, and general knowledge. This unique platform allows students to shine and earn accolades for themselves and their schools. The quiz consists of six rounds, with the first four held online. The final two rounds will take place on the picturesque campus of Shoolini University, where selected students will have the opportunity to explore the stunning surroundings.
As of now, the first two rounds have concluded, with 6,500 students progressing past Round 1. An impressive 2,047 students have qualified for Round 3, set for October 19. The quiz covers nine diverse domains, including history, politics, sports, science and technology, literature, pop culture, economics, and ancient wisdom — ensuring a well-rounded challenge for all participants.
Exciting prizes await the winners, including laptops, iPads, smartphones, and smartwatches, making the stakes even higher for students eager to showcase their knowledge and skills.
This year’s Q?riosity Quiz has attracted participation from some of India’s most prestigious schools, such as The Lawrence School Sanawar, Mayo College Ajmer (Boys), Welham Girls’ School in Dehradun, and Strawberry Fields High School in Chandigarh.
“This year’s turnout of over 35,000 students shows their love for learning and friendly competition. The quiz is about creating a lasting passion for knowledge among young minds,” said Shikha Sood, Director Outreach, at Shoolini University.
Reflecting on its journey, Shoolini Trustee & Vice President Avnee Khosla said, “The Q?riosity Quiz began as BizQuiz with just over 30 participants. It has since evolved into a national event, attracting over 20,000 students across six rounds. This impressive growth includes a massive tech platform, a question bank with over 4,000 questions, 10+ quizzing sections, and engaging audio-visual rounds. With more than 700 school coordinators, teachers, and principals involved, the scale of this quiz is truly remarkable!”
The finale for this season is scheduled for the 1st week of December. With a record number of participants and a dynamic format, Q?riosity 2024 is set to be a memorable experience that not only tests knowledge but also inspires a passion for learning among young minds across the nation.
