At Shoolini University, the journey to becoming a management leader starts with a powerful leap — the MBA LaunchPad SPRINT. This intensive 16-day program, from July 30th to August 14th, is more than just an introduction to MBA life. It’s a carefully crafted experience that equips first-year students with the skills and insights to navigate and excel in the corporate world.
The program started each day bright and early at 6 AM with the invigorating yoga sessions. These sessions focused on wellness and mindfulness, setting a positive tone for the day ahead. Alongside this, students participated in workshops covering everything from grooming and etiquette to entrepreneurship, all aimed at pushing them out of their comfort zones.
A major highlight of the SPRINT was the involvement of over 20 external speakers, all CXO-level professionals, who shared their real-world experiences and insights. Their talks provided invaluable lessons, helping students understand what it takes to succeed in the fast-paced corporate environment.
This year, MBA LaunchPad SPRINT introduced some innovative competitions that got students thinking and acting creatively. One of the standout events was an online chess competition, which attracted over 150 participants. The top 16 players moved on to compete on physical boards, showcasing their strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Another popular event was ‘MBA’s Got Talent’, where students displayed unique skills and creativity. This event not only entertained but also encouraged teamwork and collaboration. The ‘Yoga Storytelling Competition’ was another engaging activity, where students shared their experiences from the morning yoga sessions. The best storytellers got awards on the final day of the SPRINT.
As part of the curriculum, students took a Coursera course titled ‘Learning How to Learn’. This course helped them identify their preferred learning styles and develop effective study habits like the Pomodoro Technique. This has been a game-changer for many, making learning more enjoyable and productive.
The SPRINT concluded with a lively treasure hunt that took students around the campus. Organised by the Director of Sustainability and Community Projects, Poonam Nanda, this activity was fun and educational, helping students familiarise themselves with their new surroundings. Awards were also given for the Best Business Plans and the Most Popular Social Media Teams, adding a competitive edge to the fun.
Whether it was the Chess Championship, the insightful sessions on time management and innovation, or the inspirational talks on leadership and emotional intelligence, each day of the SPRINT was packed with opportunities for growth and learning.
