Law Students Win All India Lawyers Union Cup 2026

The School of Law at Shoolini University secured the All India Lawyers Union Cup 2026, a national-level cricket tournament organised by the All India Lawyers Union in collaboration with the District Bar Association, Solan. The tournament took place at Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, and saw participation from teams representing legal institutions and bar associations from across the country. 

The Shoolini team delivered a consistent run through the tournament, winning five consecutive matches to claim the title. It maintained control in both batting and bowling, building momentum with each game and carrying it into the knockout stages. 

Among the key performers, Devesh Sharma was declared Man of the Tournament for his all-round contribution across matches. Pankaj earned the Best Bowler award for his effective spells, while Vikrant Mehta played a decisive innings of 77 runs in the semi-final. In the final, Devank was named Man of the Match for his performance under pressure. Other team members, including Vivek Chandel, Vivek, Hirday, Prakhar, Madhav, Purav, and Akhil, contributed at different stages of the tournament, supporting the team’s overall balance and execution. 

Assistant Professor Vineet Kumar, School of Law, was also part of the team and played a dual role, contributing on the field and guiding students throughout the tournament. 

A felicitation ceremony was held on campus following the win. Addressing the players, Founder Chancellor Prof PK Khosla congratulated the team and said, “My blessings to all the winners. Do your best in every field and learn from your mistakes. Always remain a learner and work towards achieving your dreams.” 

Vineet Kumar received a memento in recognition of his continued support to the students. The university also acknowledged Dr Renu Pal Sood and faculty members of the School of Law for their encouragement and guidance during the tournament. 

Associate Dean Student Welfare Prof Neeraj Gandhotra delivered the vote of thanks, stating that the victory reflected the School of Law’s focus on discipline, leadership, and overall student development.
