A cheerful smile, dancing eyes, and an indomitable spirit! Meet Aarzoo Bilandi who defied all odds to achieve financial independence. In this heart-warming tale of perseverance and determination, this young woman from a modest financial background achieved international success in the Hospitality industry. Despite the challenges she faced, including the loss of her father in 2022, Aarzoo remained resolute in her pursuit of a better life for herself and her family.
Though an average student, she always dreamt of training abroad and learning from diverse cultures. Driven by her aspirations, she dedicated herself to her studies, unwaveringly determined to find a pathway to transform her dreams into reality.
The year 2023 became a turning point for Aarzoo when she received a life-changing offer from the prestigious Ramada Kuala Lumpur City Centre, one of the most renowned hotels in the city. Overjoyed with the opportunity to train and work abroad, Aarzoo embraced the opportunity.
Upon arriving in Kuala Lumpur, Aarzoo was captivated by the city’s vibrant energy and rich cultural tapestry. Nestled in the heart of the city, the Ramada exuded grandeur and elegance, leaving her awestruck. Assigned to the front office of the hotel, Aarzoo resolved to prove her mettle and shine in her new role.
With unwavering resolve, Aarzoo swiftly adapted to her new environment, embracing the challenges that accompanied her job at the Ramada. Eager to learn and grow, she acquired new skills, worked diligently, and fostered friendships with her colleagues. Her dedication and exemplary work ethic caught the attention of the hotel management, who commended her for her outstanding performance.
However, it wasn’t just professional growth that Aarzoo experienced during her tenure at the Ramada; she also underwent a profound personal transformation. Previously grappling with financial management, the newfound responsibility of supporting herself and her mother from afar compelled her to learn the art of saving money. Implementing a budget and setting aside a portion of her earnings each month, Aarzoo realised the significance of financial prudence.
As her financial maturity grew, so did her sense of pride. Recently, Aarzoo sent Rs 50,000 from her savings to her mother — a milestone in her life and a proud moment for any mother.
Commenting on Aarzoo’s remarkable journey, School of Hospitality & Hotel Management Director at Shoolini University, Pratip Mazumdar, emphasised the significance of values instilled in every student. “Right from the first day of joining the School of Hospitality, key values are instilled in every student.
