Hosts STEM workshop at Melbourne Global Centre, Delhi, to advance STEM education in India
Shoolini University recently hosted a STEM workshop titled 'STEM Horizons: Guiding Research Pathways' at the Melbourne Global Centre, Delhi. The event brought together educators, researchers, and academic leaders to advance STEM education in India. With its emphasis on research-driven teaching, the workshop highlighted Shoolini University's impactful collaboration with The University of Melbourne, emphasising the joint commitment of both institutions to promoting innovation and excellence in education.
The workshop opened with an address by Shikha Sood, Director of Outreach at Shoolini University. She provided an insightful overview of the event's objectives and vision, highlighting the importance of bridging the gap between academic research and practical application in STEM education.
Prof Sourabh Kulshrestha, Dean of Research, Shoolini University, delivered an impactful session on STEM Pathways, where he delved into strategies for seamlessly integrating research into classroom teaching to inspire innovation among students. Avnee Khosla, Vice President of Shoolini University, shared perspectives on building a research-driven culture and empowering educators. She discussed the strategies and successes of Shoolini University in creating a strong institutional framework for academic excellence.
The audience, comprising notable educators, researchers, and academic leaders, actively engaged in discussions and exchanged ideas. Participants included Inderbir Thussu, Principal of Kunskapsskolan Gurgaon; Khushoo Yadav, Coordinator at La Mentoraa School; Anchita Kapoor, Coordinator at Pathways School Gurgaon; Seep Wadhwa, Coordinator at Kunskapsskolan Gurgaon; and Mridu Dutta Ghosh, Principal of Ramjas International School. Independent counsellors such as Swati Sonkar, Shifali Mehta, Richa Sharma, Deepa Singh, and Rahul Parmar, along with Nidhi, Counsellor at The Shriram Millennium Schools, were also part of the gathering.

A key highlight of the event was the emphasis on the BSc (Hons) Advanced Dual Degree Sciences Program, a flagship collaboration between Shoolini University and The University of Melbourne. This dual-degree program enables students to complete their undergraduate education at Shoolini University while benefiting from advanced coursework and research opportunities at The University of Melbourne. The program equips students with global perspectives and research expertise, preparing them to address some of the most pressing challenges of the modern world.
