Open 37th NHRDN chapter on campus
In a landmark move, Shoolini University inaugurated the 37th chapter of the National Human Resources Development Network (NHRDN) at its Solan campus on November 18. This initiative will bolster industry-academia ties and enhance HR practices.
During the inauguration, Shoolini University Chancellor Prof PK Khosla highlighted the importance of industry collaborations in supplementing formal education. He expressed optimism about the collaboration's potential to propel the region to new heights of success and development.
Further expanding on the university's vision, Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla discussed plans to broaden the reach of NHRDN in North India. Acknowledging India's growing stature as a global economic power, he emphasised the necessity of retraining the workforce for future challenges, focusing on data science and research. His vision for NHRDN includes shaping future leaders and positioning India as a success model by 2050.
Emphasising the softer aspects of professional growth, SILB President, Founder President, and Trustee of Shoolini University Saroj Khosla stressed balancing life satisfaction with professional success. As the Guest of Honour, she urged human resource professionals to instil this holistic approach in students.
President - People Practices and HR Prof Arvind Nanda talked about the benefits of this collaboration for students, particularly research scholars. With his extensive corporate background, he provided insights into how students could apply their academic findings in industrial settings.
Participating online, NHRDN National President Prem Singh praised the Shoolini management's dedication and welcomed the university as the youngest chapter of NHRDN. He envisioned outstanding achievements from this collective effort.
Echoing these sentiments, NHRDN Founder-President TV Rao connected virtually to discuss the chapter's potential to bring innovative curricula and teaching methods to the region, enhancing the overall educational experience.
Aquil Busrai Consulting CEO Aquil Busrai emphasised the importance of NHRDN as a platform for students to showcase ideas. He encouraged students to use NHRDN for networking and collaborative practice, stressing the need for ambitious thinking.
Strategic planning, change management, leadership development, and new initiatives were the focus of NHRDN Director General Dhananjay Singh’s speech. He emphasised how these elements would be integral to the collaboration's success.
Shoolini University Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, Munish Sahrawat moderated a panel discussion. The speakers included various industry and academic experts. They explored the future of HR practices, learning and development impacts, and the chapter's potential contributions to academic and professional growth.
Highlighting the evolving educational landscape, Shoolini University Founder-Trustee and President of Innovation and Marketing Ashish Khosla pointed out the growing opportunities in online education, especially for India's working population.
Dean of Students Welfare Poonam Nanda moderated the event, signing off with the growth opportunity of the collaboration for students and faculty.
