Samvidhan Diwas
Leading Law Fest 4.0 valedictory, IG Bindu Rani urged the youth to uphold constitutional values and counter drug abuse.

The School of Law at Shoolini University celebrated Samvidhan Diwas (Constitution Day) with a full day of academic and awareness-driven activities aimed at strengthening constitutional understanding and legal literacy on campus. Students took part in a debate competition, poster-making contest, and an awareness parade that moved across key campus zones.

Himachal Pradesh Inspector General of Police (Crime) Bindu Rani attended as the chief guest. She addressed the Samvidhan Diwas gathering and later presided over the Valedictory Ceremony of Law Fest 4.0, interacting with Shoolini Founder-Chancellor Prof PK Khosla, President Innovation and Marketing Prof Ashish Khosla, faculty members, and students.

In her address, IG Bindu Rani urged students to uphold constitutional values and contribute as informed citizens and future legal professionals. She also spoke about the rising use of Chitta (heroin) among young people, explaining its severe physical, psychological, and social impact. She encouraged students to stay alert, spread awareness, and support prevention efforts within their communities.

Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla said Shoolini University aimed to shape responsible and informed citizens through focused initiatives such as Samvidhan Diwas and Law Fest 4.0. These efforts, he said, strengthened constitutional awareness and prepared students for meaningful contributions in the legal field.

The debate competition drew strong participation, with students speaking on themes centred on the Constitution, rights, duties, and current legal concerns. Lakshmi Vasundhara won the competition for her clear and well-structured arguments. In poster-making, Doter secured first place for a creative representation of constitutional values and anti-drug awareness.

The awareness parade, coordinated by Vineet Kumar and Adv Rajiv Chauhan, saw students carrying placards on the constitutional significance and the prevention of drug abuse. Co-conveners Meghna Thakur, Soumya Sharma, and Palak Sharma, along with faculty coordinators Yugasha and Nidhi Singh, ensured smooth organisation and active engagement throughout the activities. More than 150 law students took part in Samvidhan Diwas and the Law Fest 4.0 valedictory session.

Law Fest 4.0 ran from 24–26 November 2025 with a mix of offline and online events designed to sharpen legal skills and practical understanding. The offline competitions included Moot Court and Crime Scene Investigation, while online events such as PIL Drafting, Case Analysis, and Legislative Review attracted entries from over 30 teams across institutions.

The Centre for Clinical Legal Education (CCLE), led by Director Dr Renu Pal Sood, organised the fest. Co-Convener Vineet Kumar and Adv Rajiv Chauhan played key roles in planning and execution.

The celebrations concluded with informative stalls offering material on constitutional provisions, legal rights, and anti-drug awareness.

Prof Nandan Sharma, Associate Dean, Faculty of Legal Sciences, thanked the chief guest, administration, faculty coordinators, conveners, and student volunteers for their support. The university reaffirmed its aim to strengthen legal understanding, ethical awareness, and civic responsibility among its students.
