Shoolini University and IIT Mandi signed an MoU to promote academics and research in higher educational institutions.

Shoolini University has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mandi, to promote and support academics and research in higher educational institutions. The MoU was signed by Shoolini University Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla and IIT Mandi Director Prof Laxmidhar Behera.
This initiative, said Prof Khosla, will benefit students, research scholars, and faculty members from both institutions through student and faculty exchange initiatives. He credited Shoolini University Chancellor Prof PK Khosla and IIT Mandi Director Prof Laxmidhar Behera for the collaboration between the two institutions.
Shoolini University Dean of Engineering Prof Virender Rihani said various activities would be undertaken within the ambit of the MoU. These include exchange faculty and staff visits for research, teaching, consultancy for up to one year, and joint supervision of postgraduate and PhD students as per the norms of both institutions, he added. Further, the permissible exchange of scientific information will also take place for academic purposes. Utilising facilities at special usage charges shall be applicable for students.
Students can avail of training sessions in the state-of-the-art facilities at both institutions as well as participate in joint events such as seminars, workshops, conferences, and training programmes.
Prof Rihani, along with Prof Pankaj Vaidya and Prof Bhaskar Goel, heads of the Schools under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, expressed gratitude to the managements of both organisations for supporting the MoU initiative. He thanked IIT Mandi SRIC former Dean Prof Venkatan Krishnan and Shoolini University Pro-Chancellor Vishal Anand for their support.
