
Experts Highlight Future of Work Through AI-Human Collaboration and Innovation
Shoolini University recently hosted a groundbreaking two-day HR conclave titled, ‘Harnessing the Power of Artificial Intelligence for HR Excellence’, spotlighting the transformative potential of AI in revolutionising HR practices. The event captivated attendees with insightful keynotes from industry leaders and AI experts, delving into AI’s impact on recruitment, talent management, employee engagement, and organisational efficiency.
In his inaugural address, Shoolini University Founder and Chancellor Prof PK Khosla highlighted AI’s crucial role in modern society and its potential to enhance resource utilisation for societal betterment.
The first panel discussion, moderated by Munish Sahrawat, President and Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences at Shoolini University, featured speakers Ashisha Bhatia from Tata, Vasudha Mahajan from Aerial Telecom Solutions, and Vikram Sharma from HR Strides Pharma. They emphasised that AI is designed to support and enhance human efforts, focusing on how AI can be integrated into the workplace to improve efficiency and productivity while relying on human creativity, decision-making, and emotional intelligence. The panelists explored the potential for AI and humans to work together in a complementary way, shaping the future of work through collaboration rather than competition.
The second panel discussion, moderated by Prof Pradeep Sharma, centred on empowering and retaining the workforce. Panellists included Harshit Malaviya, Head HR at Satin Creditcare Network Limited; Jitender Panihar, CHRO at Fitelo; Nikhil Mallah, CHRO at Sahayog Multistate Cooperative Ltd.; and Rikhi Regmi, Head HR at Bharti Airtel Foundation. They discussed the importance of emotional connection and creating a desirable work environment for employees.
Day two began with an enlightening talk by Dr Ashoo Khosla, Chief Learning Officer at Shoolini University, who spoke about the convergence of creativity and AI. Dr Ashoo highlighted that creativity begins with ideas and leads to innovation, which thrives in a collaborative environment. She engaged participants in the ‘30 Circle Challenge’, demonstrating divergent thinking, and introduced the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT) to measure fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration.
The panel discussion, ‘Gig Economy and the Future of Work: Managing a Hybrid Workforce’, led by Associate Prof Pooja Verma, featured Bikramjeet Singh, VP Global Operations at Digimantra, Utkarsh Kumar, Manager HR at Sonalika Group, Prasoon Prabhajan, Head of Talent Acquisition at Sopra Steria, and Swaranpreet Singh, General Manager of Human Resources at Niva Bupa Health. They discussed balancing flexibility and stability in the gig economy and the need for businesses to adapt to hybrid workforce models.
‘Role of Industry in Academia’, another panel discussion, included Sachin Sharma, Associate Director at KPMG in India; Munish Sehrawat, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences at Shoolini University; Prasoon Prabhajan, Head of Talent Acquisition at Sopra Steria; and Gaurav Saini, Global CHRO at Wadhwani Foundation. They emphasised the relevance of live industry projects, CSR activities, and AI-powered tools in preparing students for corporate careers.
The panel discussion, ‘Implementing AI in HR: Best Practices’, moderated by Prof Manjunath BR, Director of Academic Affairs at Shoolini University, featured Anand Pachouri, Head L&D at Jindal Stainless; Gaurav Saini, Global CHRO at Wadhwani Foundation; and Prof Tarun Gupta, Director of Operations at Shoolini Online. They discussed AI’s significance in extending human capabilities, increasing productivity, and simplifying daily activities.
Attendees participated in experiential workshops, gaining hands-on experience with AI tools in HR processes, from automated recruiting to performance analytics. These sessions offered practical insights into AI integration in HR. The abundant networking opportunities allowed participants to connect with peers, industry experts, and thought leaders.
Book Release
The conclave also marked the release of the book ‘Smart HR with AI: Leveraging AI for Workforce Excellence’, edited by Prof Ashish Khosla and Associate Prof Pooja Verma, and designed by Aditi Sharma. The book includes contributions from HR leaders and Shoolini University faculty, highlighting the value of AI-powered solutions for enhancing time management and streamlining operations.

An inspiring session by Payal Khanna, ICF coach and Professor at Shoolini University, on the power of coaching and compassion in driving business success resonated particularly well with the startup-driven new generation.
The event concluded with a vision for the future of HR, where AI and human ingenuity work in tandem to create more effective, inclusive, and dynamic workplaces. The insights and discussions from the conclave are expected to drive significant advancements in HR practices across industries.
