Featured competitions like Moot Court, Crime Scene Investigation, Case Commentary, Public Interest Litigation Drafting
Shoolini University's Centre for Clinical Legal Education (CCLE), part of the Faculty of Legal Sciences, concluded its three-day National Law Fest 2.0. The event, aligned with India's Constitution Day on November 26, commenced on November 23.
The Law Fest aimed to blend theory with practical legal education. It featured competitions like Moot Court, Crime Scene Investigation, Case Commentary, Public Interest Litigation Drafting, Article Writing, and Legislative Review. Esteemed judges and advocates from the Supreme Court, High Courts, and various universities assessed the competitions.
The event attracted over 100 delegates from law schools nationwide, including the National Law University and other Bar Council of India-recognised institutions.
Notable speakers included Advocate Deepak Jindal, Former Deputy Advocate General, who discussed the value of legal education. Prof. Sanjay Sindhu, Dean, Law School HPU, highlighted the significance of National Law Day.
Distinguished guests included Prof Sanjay Sindhu, Adv. Deepak Jindal, and representatives from the Delhi Police. Shoolini University Chancellor Prof PK Khosla, Pro-Chancellor Vishal Anand, and Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla were also present.
Prof Atul Khosla lauded the Faculty of Legal Sciences for creating an exceptional learning platform for aspiring lawyers. The fest's winners included Amity Law School, Gwalior (Moot Court), GH Raisoni University, MP (Crime Scene Investigation), Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Shimla (Case Commentary), NMIMS, Mumbai (Public Interest Litigation Drafting), and National Law University, Maharashtra (Article Writing).
The fest also featured the second edition of a book exhibition, showcasing works from major publishers like HP Hamilton, SCC, Lexis Nexis, and others.
CCLE Director Renu Pal Sood emphasised the centre's role in fostering skills and ethical decision-making in clinical settings. Associate Dean Prof Nandan Sharma of the Faculty of Legal Sciences reaffirmed the School's dedication to legal education excellence. He expressed pride in the institution's legacy of nurturing eminent judges and lawyers.
