Shoolini University, in collaboration with JioGames, hosted the JioGames VCC Cup – Valorant Championship 2025, bringing two days of intense esports action to the campus arena. The event drew strong participation and highlighted how competitive gaming had grown into a vibrant student interest across the university.
Sixteen teams from different schools and departments entered the tournament, each bringing sharp strategy, quick thinking, and solid teamwork to the battleground. Matches followed the official VCC Valorant rules and were played in an elimination-knockout format. Students competed with precision, moving through rounds that kept the atmosphere charged. Live shoutcasting and match streaming added to the experience, turning the AI and Future Centre–Game Arena into a professional-style esports venue.
Ashish Khosla, President Innovation and Marketing, said the enthusiasm and sportsmanship on display were remarkable. He noted that esports required the same discipline and focus as traditional competitive settings.
Prof Pankaj Vaidya, Head of the Yogananda School of AI, Computers and Data Science, said hosting a professional-level tournament with JioGames was a significant milestone. He added that the strong interest of students reflected how gaming had evolved into both a competitive field and an emerging career pathway. He appreciated the organisers and student volunteers who shaped the event from planning to execution.
A JioGames representative from the Himachal Pradesh Circle also praised the high-energy environment on campus. He shared that Valorant continued to grow rapidly in India and said the VCC Cup had given young players a valuable chance to demonstrate their skills and connect with opportunities within the expanding esports space.
Beyond gameplay, the event exposed students to different roles in the esports ecosystem, including shoutcasting, event and stream operations, game analytics, and production management. It offered a close look at how modern esports events were run and gave interested students a chance to test their abilities in real time.
