Undergraduate Scholarships

 

1. Single Parent (Mother) Child*   

Benefit & Criteria: Equivalent to 20% of tuition fee for first year only

  • Minimum 65% marks in preceding degree
  • Income below Rs. 5 Lakhs

Documents Required:

  • Class XII final board exam mark sheet
  • Copy of the death certificate of the parent
  • Bank account statement of the surviving parent for the last one year* 
  • Income certificate

2. Merit Scholarship for CSE and Core Engineering UG programs based JEE Mains Score

  • 90 percentile and above: 50% tuition fee waiver. Scholarship to continue next year based on 8.5 OGPA and no backlog
  • 85-90 percentile: 35% tuition fee waiver. Scholarship to continue next year based on 8.5 OGPA and no backlog.
  • 80-85 percentile: 20% tuition fee waiver. Scholarship to continue next year based on 8 OGPA and no backlog.

Documents Required:

  • JEE mains score card
  • XII class final mark sheet

3. Phase2: Merit Scholarship for UG programs based on Class XII board exams marks/ diploma marks

  • 90% & above - Equivalent to 20% of a tuition fee waiver for first two semesters only. Continuation of scholarship Second year onwards based on minimum 8.5 CGPA in the previous year.
  • 85% -90% - Equivalent to 15% of a tuition fee waiver for first two semesters only.  Continuation of scholarship Second year onwards based on minimum 8.0 CGPA in the previous year.

Note: Overall percentage across all subjects will be considered. Scholarships are not available for Pharma, Journalism, Agriculture, and Law Programs. Limited scholarships for three-year Programs.

Documents Required: Class XII final board mark sheet/ diploma final mark sheet

4. Need-cum-merit based scholarship for UG programs   

Benefit & Criteria:

Up to 75% scholarship on tuition fee for all years

  • Special consideration for families who have lost their earning member to the Covid19 pandemic
  • A minimum of 65% marks in the preceding degree 
  • Family annual income below Rs. 4 lacs 
  • Continuation of scholarship next year based on minimum 7.5 CGPA in the previous year

Documents Required:

  • Class XII final board exam mark sheet
  • Bank account statement of the father for the last one year*
  • Bank account statement of the mother for the last year
  • Income certificate
  • A small write-up explaining the family situation

5. Phase2: Exceptional Students UG Merit Scholarship  

Benefit & Criteria:

Above 93% in class XII - Equivalent to 50%-75% of tuition fee waiver only for one year.  

  • Minimum 90% marks in class X, minimum 80% score in Shoolini internal entrance test
  • Scholarship to continue in subsequent years if cumulative OGPA is 9 or above year-on-year
  • Hostel fee waiver in exceptional need circumstances only with additional document requirement.
  • Final decision based on an interview with the Scholarship Committee.

Documents Required:

  • X and XII class final board exam mark sheet
  • Statement of Purpose

6. Scholarship for wards of Shoolini/ SILB employees   

(Final scholarship to be decided by University Scholarship Committee after interviewing the student)

Benefits & Criteria:

UG/PG Scholarships Equivalent to 100% of tuition fee to the children of all faculty/ staff members

This policy is not applicable for the wards of Shoolini vendors/contractors.

  •  A minimum of 60% in the preceding degree program 
  • Continuation of scholarship next year based on a minimum of 7.5 CGPA in the previous year

Documents Required: 

  • Proof of your father or mother as an employee of Shoolini University
  • Minimum 2 years of completed service with Shoolini University

7. Scholarship for Shoolini Employees   

Benefit & Criteria: Non-Teaching Staff – Equivalent to 100% tuition fee waiver in full course fee.

  • For employees who have completed at least two full years of employment with Shoolini University/SILB on the date of application
  • Continuation of the scholarship in the next year will be based on a minimum of 6.6 CGPA in the previous year

Documents Required: 

  • Proof of having completed at least two full years of employment with Shoolini University/SILB on the date of application

8. Sports Scholarship

Benefit & Criteria: 

International level- For Olympic sports and cricket, 50% tuition fee waiver in the First and Third Semester

National level – For any sport through some recognized association, 25% tuition fee waiver in the  First and Third Semester

  • A minimum of 60% in the preceding degree
  • International level: For Olympic sports and cricket only
  • National level: For any sport through a recognized association

Documents Required: 

  • Participation or winning certificate for an international or national level sport

9. Sh. Parmahansa Yogananda Scholarship

Benefit & Criteria: A one-time award of Rs. 50,000

On the basis of the total score in the written test based on the book “Autobiography of a Yogi”.

Documents Required:

  • No documents are required 

10. Defense Scholarship

Benefit & Criteria: A 10% tuition fee scholarship for first and third semesters only

Note: Only for non-commissioned officers/ jawans

Criteria & Documents: 

  • Employment ID of the father or the mother

11. Kashmiri migrant students 

Benefit & Criteria: Equivalent to 10% of tuition fee for one year only

Note: A minimum of 65% marks in the preceding degree 

Documents Required:

  • Class XII final board exam mark sheet
  • Copy of the Kashmiri Migrant Certificate 

Terms and Conditions for Shoolini University Scholarships 2021 

  1. Only admitted students of 2021-22 are eligible to avail scholarship benefits of Scholarships announced in 2021.
  2. Please Note minimum 75% attendance is mandatory in the preceding semester for the scholarship to continue in subsequent years/ semesters
  3. All scholarships will be adjusted only against the tuition fee of the student.
  4. Original documents, depending upon the type of scholarship applied for, will be required to avail the scholarship, while soft copies MUST be uploaded in the application form.
  5. Irrelevant/expired/non-legible documents will result in scholarship cancellation and forged documents will lead to cancellation of registration of the student if found later as well.
  6. Only one scholarship can be availed at the time of admission. Scholarship availed once will continue as per terms and conditions of that scholarship. The same will not be changed to other scholarships unless approved by the Scholarship Committee.
  7. All scholarships conditions such as definitions, annexures, eligibility, scholarship number are mentioned in the document.
  8. No scholarship will be awarded to the students later if the scholarship is not availed at the time of his/her admission.
  9. The number of applicants for a certain scholarship is always more than the number of scholarships. Only the most deserving student will receive the scholarship. Therefore, even after meeting eligibility conditions, the Scholarship Committee holds the right to reject a request for a scholarship.
  10. Any scholarship may be discontinued by the University without intimation.
  11. The Shoolini University Scholarship Committee holds all discretion on the award of scholarships and its decision will be overriding.
