Shoolini University recently organised an interactive workshop on ‘round-the-clock’ personal branding for its students and faculty. The workshop provided insights into building a personal brand that becomes a career and professional growth tool.
The workshop was conducted by Soundari, an organisational consultant, business storytelling coach, faculty, mentor, facilitator, visual thinker, and speaker. Soundari has 30 years of experience in the areas of finance, operations, banking, and entrepreneurship with Unilever, ANZ, her firm TSol, and her new venture, Soundbytes11, in Hong Kong, Middle East, and India.
During the workshop, Soundari highlighted the importance of being oneself instead of pretending to be someone else, which is often associated with personal branding. She emphasised the need to determine what makes individuals unique and what ignites their passion. She also shared how storytelling can drive business outcomes and help individuals build a personal brand while being more human at work.
According to Soundari, a strong personal brand comprises several essential ingredients, including a unique identity, impactful and persuasive communication, a trusted network of people, executive presence, and a strong sense of determination and initiative. She also stressed the significance of effective personal branding, which can differentiate individuals from the competition and enable them to build trust with prospective clients and employers.
The workshop received an overwhelming response from the participants, who found it insightful and informative. The event was a testament to Shoolini University’s commitment to providing students and faculty with opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills, as well as to its focus on promoting personal and professional growth.
