Solan, February 15

Shoolini University on Wednesday signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with the University of Melbourne for academic collaboration. The LoI was signed by Shoolini University Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla and University of Melbourne Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) Prof Michael Wesley at a virtual ceremony.

The two universities would work on areas of mutual interest to promote cooperation in teaching and research. “This partnership explores future engagement opportunities, which include exchange of faculty and scholars (professors, lecturers, or researchers), exchange of students (including undergraduate and graduate students), exchange of academic information and materials, and exchange of periodical academic publications. The two institutions would organise joint research programmes and joint conferences. They will also work on Dual Degree Programmes and other academic exchange opportunities.

Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla said this is a golden opportunity for Shoolini teachers and students to collaborate with the world’s best universities in academics and research. “We are also initiating partnerships with the industry and top global universities for new and innovative academic programmes,” he added.

Shoolini University Office of International Affairs (OIA) Deputy Director Dr Rozy Dhanta said she first met Prof Andrew from the University of Melbourne at the Australian education fair held in Chandigarh in May last year. Since then, the two universities have been working closely to forge an alliance. “Shoolini University is trying to get the world's best universities to collaborate for academics and research,” she added.
