
The Yogananda School of AI, Computers, and Data Science (YSAICDS) at Shoolini University recently hosted the International Conference on Applied Artificial Intelligence and Innovation (AAIIC). This two-day event brought together experts from across the globe to explore emerging trends and practical solutions in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The conference opened with a warm welcome by Assistant Professor Piyush Sewal, followed by inaugural remarks from Prof Virender Rihani, Dean, Faculty of Engineering. Prof Rihani emphasised the growing relevance of AI across industry and academia, setting the stage for two days of focused discussions and knowledge-sharing.
In his keynote address, Chancellor and Chief Patron of AAIIC 2025, Prof PK Khosla, said AI is reshaping industries worldwide and that events like AAIIC provide a much-needed global platform for collaboration and problem-solving. Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla highlighted Shoolini University’s commitment to interdisciplinary research in AI, adding that the institution is rapidly building AI-driven solutions that serve both national and global needs.
Prof Ashish Khosla, President and Chief Innovation & Marketing Officer at Shoolini University and Patron of AAIIC 2025, spoke about the university’s efforts to create a collaborative space where researchers, industry experts, and students can co-develop impactful AI applications.
Conference Theme Chair Prof Manju Khari from Jawaharlal Nehru University outlined the vision behind AAIIC 2025, calling it a platform that promotes collective learning and research. She was joined by Prof KK Patel from Charotar University of Science and Technology, who also serves as a theme chair. Both underscored the importance of teamwork in advancing AI research.
The conference featured a line-up of international speakers who shared cutting-edge research and insights. Among them were Sanjay Misra (Universidad de Alcala, Norway), Shailendra Rathore (Abertay University, UK), Yerzhan Kerimbekov (Zhanibekov University, Kazakhstan), Laura Baitokayeva (Nazarbayev Intellectual School, Kazakhstan), and Tomáš Čech (Palacký University, Czech Republic). Their sessions covered diverse themes including AI in energy, education, ethics, and intelligent systems.
Adding an industry perspective, senior professionals from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Apoorv Aggarwal and Rajit Sikka, spoke on the practical use of AI in sectors like automation, manufacturing, and enterprise solutions. Their sessions highlighted how businesses are integrating AI to streamline operations and create smarter systems.
The event was coordinated by Prof Pankaj Vaidya and Associate Professor Gaurav Gupta, who played a central role in conceptualising and organising the conference. AAIIC 2025
successfully created a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and innovation — further strengthening Shoolini University’s standing as a hub for applied AI research and learning.
