It has emerged as the No. 1 private university in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, as per the data released by the ranking organisation.
Globally, Shoolini University got 514th rank, improving its position from 545th rank last year.
The university attained 17th rank in the category of research across the country. In the subject-wise category, the university has retained the first position among Indian universities in Chemistry, while it has secured the 12th position in Physics and Astronomy and 33rd in Environmental Science and Energy. It has been ranked 17th in Engineering.
The SCImago ranking list includes 4,364 premier higher educational institutions worldwide.
Congratulating the staff and students, Chancellor Prof PK Khosla said the achievements of the university during the short span of 12 years were laudable. He said the progress was in consonance with the mission of the university to be among the top global universities.
Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla said the constant improvement in the rankings of the university reflected the hard work being put in by the faculty members and students. He said he was certain that the rankings would improve further in the coming years.
