India's biggest annual inter-school quiz competition for school students, Q?riosity 2022, was a memorable journey for the participants and audience alike. Manav from Ludhiana's BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School bagged the Overall trophy at the quiz hosted by Shoolini University and co-powered by Ideas That Matter and Bodh — The Shoolini Quiz Club.
Divya from The Emerald Heights International School, Indore, secured the second position and Shubra from Indraprastha International School, Dwarka, won the third prize.
The winners were awarded Apple iPad and trophies. The first runner-up won a OnePlus Nord phone, and the second runner-up won a Samsung Galaxy A23.
About 25,000 students from over 500 schools participated in the quiz from across India and the top six students made it to the Grand Finale. Chapslee School, Shimla, St Edward School, Shimla, BCM Arya Model SR Secondary School, Ludhiana, Indraprastha International School, Dwarka, Bal Bharti Public School, Rajender Nagar, and The Emerald Heights International School, Indore, were the six schools that competed in the finale.
Students were quizzed and tested on 10 different topics, including sports, politics, SciTech, pop culture, My Shoolini, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, history, current events, books and literature, and business and economy.
Shoolini University Chancellor Prof PK Khosla addressed the students during the grand finale and motivated the young talent to reach the top of their potential. He said, "This event churns out excellence and brilliance in students. Next year, we will expand this event and bring 50,000+ students into its fold.”
Shoolini University Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla, said, “If you aspire to be future leaders, you need to go beyond the frontiers of textbook learning. Quizzing is the starting point because when you are quizzing, you are challenging people around you, and most importantly, you learn things beyond your coursework.”
The motive of the quiz is ‘Adding Fun to Knowledge’. The quiz provides students from across the country with a fun, transparent, and unbiased platform to compete and showcase their capabilities and kindle the passion and love for well-rounded learning with a sporting spirit of healthy competition.
