
Grand finale to 3-day extravaganza featured comedian Sugandha Mishra and a mesmerising set by Kutle Khan.
Shoolini University’s Moksh 2025 was nothing short of spectacular. Over three days, from March 28th to 30th, the Yuvraj Singh Stadium became the epicentre of creativity, culture, and high-energy performances. With over 8,000 students from Shoolini and surrounding areas, Moksh 2025 captured the university’s vibrant spirit, blending music, talent, and tradition into one unforgettable festival.
On the first day, the Sonia Rapper Club brought the crowd to life with their electrifying rap, followed by Dhawani Band from Shoolini University, whose energetic set created the perfect atmosphere. Traditional performances like ‘Bhangra’ and ‘Nati’ added a local touch that resonated deeply with the audience, while the Saksham Dance Club dazzled with a Bollywood dance sequence.
Roopanshu, the Bhangra team leader, said, "Punjabi aa gaye oye! We’re beyond grateful and thrilled to be part of Moksh 2025! Packed with vibrant Punjabi energy, our Bhangra performance was truly epic! Thank you for letting us rock the stage with such an amazing crowd!"
The Mr and Ms Moksh competition became a highlight, with Nischay Tripathi and Samriti Manta crowned as the winners. The competition was judged by Aruna Mehta, content creator Jyotika Dilaik, and RJ Rajat Sharma. Nischay remarked, “Moksh was a whirlwind of talent and passion. Being crowned Mr Moksh 2025 was amazing!” Samriti added, “Moksh gave me the platform to be myself, and I couldn’t be more thankful for this incredible experience.”
As the evening progressed, the spotlight turned to AC Bhardwaj, a renowned singer from Himachal Pradesh, who stole the show with his soulful performance. The Women of Substance Award, dedicated to the legacy of Vandana Sharma, celebrated the incredible women who make a difference in society. Associate Professor Aditi Sharma was honoured with the award, while Pooja Verma from the Department of Student Welfare earned the runner-up prize.
The students also shone brightly, with Ranu from BBA winning the top prize in the student category, followed by Kushi from Biotechnology, who secured the runner-up spot.
A standout moment was the Shoolini Katha Club’s fashion show, where students walked the ramp, showcasing their creative designs. A special dance performance by 11-year-old Rishab Rana from Himachal Got Talent captivated the audience, showcasing young talent that added even more excitement to the event. The performances, including a dynamic EDM set by Carnivore, kept the energy high.
Asavari Kapoor, a final-year B Tech Food Technology student, reflected on her journey: “From managing the stage to handling prize distribution, every moment shaped my college experience. I’ll always cherish Moksh, and miss it deeply when I leave.”
The festival’s finale was nothing short of legendary. The Prize Distribution Ceremony recognised the hard work of students and faculty who made Moksh 2025 a success. Prem Bhatti, awarded for excellence in photography, was among the standout honorees.
In the evening, the crowd was treated to a performance by Sugandha Mishra, known for her appearances on The Kapil Sharma Show. Her humour and wit had the audience in splits. The grand finale came in the form of a mesmerising performance by Kutle Khan, whose fusion of Rajasthani folk and contemporary rock created an electric atmosphere. The crowd was left on their feet, clapping and singing, as Moksh 2025 came to a close.
The Nati Group, who performed the traditional Himachali Nati dance, added: “It was an incredible feeling to bring the heart of Himachal to the stage. If you ever visit Himachal, don’t miss the chance to experience Nati!”
Faculty and organisers were equally thrilled by the success of the event. Ashoo Khosla, the Chief Learning Officer, expressed, “It’s amazing to see the creativity and enthusiasm of our students. Moksh 2025 reflects the spirit of Shoolini University—dedication, passion, and excellence.”
