ICF Coaching Programme

Live coaching, advanced techniques and outdoor sessions engage students

Shoolini University's Centre for Leadership Coaching recently hosted a two-day Level-1 ICF Coaching Education Immersion Programme. The event attracted participants from diverse locations, such as Hyderabad and Gurgaon, as well as faculty members from the university.

This experiential learning journey featured engaging activities like live coaching conversations, advanced coaching techniques, metaphor work, outdoor reflection sessions, and deep listening practices.

The programme started with an inspiring welcome address by Dr Ashoo Khosla, Chief Learning Officer at Shoolini University, who encouraged participants to fully engage with the transformative learning experience ahead. Dr Khosla later reflected on the event's success, noting that the immersive activities provided insights that helped participants to reflect, grow, and seamlessly integrate coaching techniques into their personal and professional lives.

Shoolini University Founder-Chancellor Prof PK Khosla concluded the programme by congratulating the participants. He said the programme was the beginning of a transformative journey in coaching. He reiterated the university’s commitment to promoting a coaching and leadership development culture.

As India’s first university to get provisional approval as a Level-1 ICF Coaching Education provider, Shoolini University is setting a new benchmark in coaching education. Payal Khanna, Deputy Director and Head of the Centre for Leadership Coaching, highlighted the significance of this achievement, stating that the university was dedicated to ensuring credibility and rigour in coaching education. She added that the programme aims to shape a new generation of coaches capable of making a meaningful impact in their professional and personal spheres.

The face-to-face immersion format played a crucial role in the programme’s success. Unlike online learning, the in-person approach fostered real-time mentorship, live coaching practice, and transformational dialogue. A key highlight was the ‘Coaching in Nature’ session, where participants engaged in coaching conversations in a natural setting, promoting deeper human connections beyond structured learning environments.

Participants described the experience as transformative and deeply personal. Associate Professor Pooja Verma, who is also Assistant Director, Centre for Distance and Online Education, noted that the programme was more than just training—it was a journey of personal and professional growth. Similarly, Prof Neeraj Gandotra, Associate Dean (Student Welfare), expressed that the immersion experience provided a renewed sense of purpose, emphasising the impact of meaningful conversations and reflective practices.
