60 Principals from Ludhiana and nearby regions come together to talk education
A celebration of educational leadership unfolded as Ludhiana Sahodaya Complex and Shoolini University came together for a day-long Principals' Conclave in Ludhiana. The event saw an impressive turnout of over 60 principals from Ludhiana and nearby regions, creating a platform for the exchange of ideas and collaboration. Pro-Chancellor Vishal Anand, Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla, Vice President Avnee Khosla, Trustee and Director Nishtha Shukla Anand, and Director Outreach Shikha Sood represented Shoolini University and Ludhiana Sahodya Director Jaswinder Sidhu represented Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex.
The highlight of the conclave was the engaging panel discussion, 'Strategic Leadership for Schools in the Changing Scenario', moderated by a National Awardee and CBSE training coordinator (district) Vandna Shahi. The discussion featured notable speakers like BCM Arya School Principal Anuja Kaushal, Jesus Sacred Heart School Principal Kirti Sharma, and Guru Nanak Public School Principal (Sarabha Nagar) Gurbhej S. Nagi. They shared valuable insights into the pivotal role of language acquisition, aesthetic sensibility, presentation skills, and leadership traits in nurturing well-rounded and successful individuals. The conclave also discussed the significance of research and innovation in education, with active participation from 42 schools, contributing to the event's resounding success. Prof Atul Khosla and Vishal Anand delivered captivating talks on 'The Future of Leadership' and 'India: The Next Economic Hub', while Avnee Khosla shared her thoughts about the intricacies of research and innovation.
The event culminated in an interactive panel discussion on 'Empowering School Students'. Speaking at the event, DAV Principal (BRS Nagar) Jaswinder Kaur Sidhu said, "The first step in teaching students to innovate is to ensure that educators have the opportunities to be innovators." BCM School (Dugri) Principal Vandna Shahi emphasised the need to help students become independent and responsible thinkers by encouraging them to ask their own questions. The event also honoured two distinguished individuals, Rama Munjal, a social activist in healthcare, environment, education, and social welfare, along with Paramjit Kaur, Director Arya Samaj Group of Schools with Lifetime Achievement Awards (Shiksha Bhushan Awards), for their exemplary contributions to the education community.
