Vinod Sood

Vinod Sood is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Hughes Systique Corporation (HSC), a leading Engineering R&D Solutions & Services company. With over 36 years of experience in the hi-tech software industry, he has established himself as a veteran in the field.

 

Prior to his current role, Vinod served as the Head of Global Engineering and R&D at Hughes Software Systems (HSS), where he also held a position on the board. Before joining HSS, he contributed to the design of India's first Digital Switch as part of the core team at C-DOT.

 

Vinod is recognised for his exceptional leadership in building high-performance teams at premier R&D organisations in India. He has a proven track record of establishing profitable and sustainable institutions from conception to maturity.

 

In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Vinod is actively involved in various industry associations and academic institutions. He is a member of the NASSCOM Engineering R&D Council, Chair of the Northern Regional Council, and serves on the Advisory Committees of several universities including the Institute of Informatics and Communications at the University of Delhi, KR Mangalam University, BML Munjal University, and Masters Union Business School Gurugram.

 

Vinod is passionate about guiding and mentoring young entrepreneurs and startups, serving on the Advisory Boards of several startups. He is also a TiE Charter member and participates in CII, NASSCOM, and TiE juries to identify emerging startups and innovative product companies.

 

Vinod Sood is an alumnus of PEC Chandigarh, where he graduated with a Gold Medal, showcasing his academic excellence and dedication to his field of expertise.
