Shubham Jamwal
Assistant Professor
Shubham Jamwal is an Assistant Professor at the School of Agriculture, Shoolini University, specialising in Agronomy. He holds a BSc in Agriculture from Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (A Central University), Uttarakhand, and completed both his MSc and PhD in Agronomy from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu.
He began his professional journey with the Department of Agriculture, Himachal Pradesh, where he worked as Assistant Block Technology Manager and later as Block Technology Manager from 2020 to 2021. During this period, he played a key role in implementing centrally sponsored schemes and the state-sponsored Subhash Palekar Natural Farming (SPNF) programme, promoting sustainable agricultural practices at the grassroots level. He has also served as a Project Assistant and Young Professional-II under the HADP Project in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, focusing on the promotion of millets and nutricereals.
His research interests include crop production techniques, organic and natural farming systems, weed and nutrient management strategies. He has published 10 research papers in reputed national and international journals and contributed to a booklet, three book chapters, two technology bulletins, and 15 abstracts. In addition, he has authored five articles and participated in five national and international conferences.
In recognition of his academic work, he received the Best Thesis Award for his MSc research at an international conference held at Bagadpur Krishi Bhawan, Moradabad (UP) in 2023. At Shoolini University, he continues to contribute to the academic and research ecosystem through his expertise in agronomy and commitment to sustainable agriculture.
