Asst Prof Chauhan completed his PhD and MSc in Botany at Shoolini University and earned his BSc (Medical) from the Centre of Excellence Govt Degree College, Sanjauli, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. His research interests focus on the isolation, identification, and quantification of phytocompounds, as well as antimicrobial and antioxidant assays. He is skilled in various analytical techniques, including FTIR, XRD, TLC, HPTLC, HPLC, GCMS, and LCMS. Additionally, he has expertise in soil heavy metals and physicochemical analysis, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of plant sciences and environmental biology.
His scholarly contributions are well-recognised, with research articles published in reputed SCI and Scopus journals. He has also filed utility and design patents related to his research, showcasing his innovative approach to scientific inquiry.
Beyond research, Asst Prof Chauhan actively organises and participates in numerous national and international workshops and conferences, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
In the classroom, he teaches a variety of subjects, including Plant Physiology, Crop Physiology, Fundamentals of Central Dogma, Agricultural Microbiology, Evolution, and Enhancing Soft Skills and Personality.
