Tejas Subrahmanya

As the Head of the Career Development Office (CDO) and a Professional Resume Writer, Tejas steers the MBA students’ career planning, resume writing and interview coaching processes while teaching life skills to undergraduate and graduate students. He brings over 22 years of experience across three careers within the industry, the academia and as a solopreneur. He specialises in HR and consulting within the IT/ITES sectors, emphasising generalist HR, talent acquisition/recruitment, HR administration and employee engagement. 

As an academician, he has demonstrated his expertise in developing MBA/BBA curricula, directing MBA programmes and teaching diverse subjects, including Organisational Behaviour, Fundamentals of HRM, Industrial Relations, Entrepreneurship, Operations Management, Operations Research, Engineering Drawing, Communication Skills and Advanced HR concepts. He has attended the Entrepreneurship Coach courses conducted by the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) and has delivered Entrepreneurship courses at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mandi and Bahra University Faculty Development Programmes. 

In 2014, Tejas ventured into an entrepreneurial career, to write content and resumes for global citizens, applying CV/Resume writing best practices to craft Applicant Tracking System (ATS)-compliant resumes. During this time, he authored books and wrote blogs on how placement officers/departments can leverage LinkedIn to streamline their campus placement procedures. His most prominent books include Getting Recruited through LinkedIn: Creating Your Personal Brand and Finding your Job and The Facebook Jobseeker. These books are available on Amazon for sale. 

His passion to help the country’s youth in crafting high-quality resumes and training them in acing interviews attracted him back to the academia and has since initiated the establishment of a Career Development Office to train students to succeed in interviews. 

Tejas has completed his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore University (one of India’s oldest engineering colleges) and Master of Business Administration from the prestigious Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has lived and worked in various cities across India, including Chennai, Trichy, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon and Shimla.
