Syed Mohammad Haider Rizvi is a Professor at the Faculty of Science, Shoolini University. He holds an MA in Clinical Psychology, MPhil, and PhD in Clinical-cum-Social Psychology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and a Post-Doctorate in Communication from Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom. He has over 22 years of experience in planning and managing academic, research, and human development programs.

Prof Haider’s professional skills include program conceptualisation, design and execution, teaching at various levels, conducting research and studies, policy analysis, documentation, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building and training, and planning and managing strategic communication and publications. He has managed programs and been responsible for research, teaching, knowledge management, and capacity-building functions. He has planned, designed, and conducted in-house research, guided and managed commissioned research, designed capacity-building programs, developed educational materials, organised training, and carried out ongoing monitoring and evaluation of programmatic interventions.

Prof Haider has worked with academic and research institutions, central and state governments, UN agencies (including the World Bank, ADB, UNDP, and UNICEF), bilateral and multilateral agencies, civil society, and private organisations in India and the UK. He has advanced research skills in qualitative and quantitative methodologies and has conducted and guided numerous studies. He is trained in Participatory Development Methodologies, Result-Based Management, Report Card Methodologies, Moderation Techniques, and Project Management Methodologies. His work has been widely published in national and international peer-reviewed journals.

He has been invited to deliver lectures, talks, and seminars at national and international research and academic institutions and is a member of various committees and boards. He has expertise in institutional strategic planning and organizational development.

Prof Haider has held positions such as Senior Advisor at Piramal University; Knowledge Partner to the Department of Education (School & Higher), Govt. of West Bengal; Education Expert-cum-Project Manager at Ernst & Young (EY) for the Madhya Pradesh Government’s State Vision Evaluation Team; SSA Consultant with UNICEF Office of Madhya Pradesh; Director of Policy Analysis at the School of Good Governance and Policy Analysis, an autonomous think tank of the Government of Madhya Pradesh; and Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom.

Additionally, he has worked as a Social Development and Communication Specialist for the World Bank, the Government of India, and the Government of Uttar Pradesh-supported WASH program; as Head of Research and Processes at Aga Khan Education Service India and Azim Premji Foundation; and as Programme Officer at Sahbhagi Shikshan Kendra.
