Shikha Mahant

Shikha Mahant is an Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor's in Pharmacy from LR Institute of Pharmacy, affiliated with Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) and then a Master's in Pharmacy from Shoolini University. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Shoolini University. 

With a focus on the Development and Optimisation of Novel Drug Delivery Systems, Asst Prof Mahant’s research shines in the realm of targeted drug delivery. With 2 years of teaching experience under her belt, she brings a unique blend of academic rigour and practical knowledge to her role.

Asst Prof Mahant has made remarkable contributions to her field, exploring Vesicular Systems as versatile carriers for drug delivery and advancing brain tumour targeting using magnetic nanoparticles. Her research extends to the therapeutic potential of naturally occurring piceatannol in non-communicable diseases and the development of SARS-COV-2 immunochromatography rapid test kits.

As an educator, Asst Prof Mahant is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience. Her hands-on teaching style emphasises real-world applications, making complex concepts accessible to her students. Asst Prof Mahant’s expertise extends beyond the classroom, as she has presented her work at various national and international conferences. She is not only a promising researcher but also a dedicated educator, making her a valuable asset to the academic community at Shoolini University.
