Ravikant Thakur is an Associate Professor with an M Tech in Structural Engineering and a B Tech in Civil Engineering from Shoolini University. He submitted his PhD at the same institution. His research expertise lies in earthquake engineering, high-rise buildings, and earthquake-resistant structures.
Assoc Prof Ravikant Thakur has made significant contributions to the field through his research, with numerous papers published in Scopus-indexed journals. His innovative work has led to the filing of over seven patents in structural and earthquake engineering. His dedication to teaching, research, and mentoring is paralleled by his commitment to the advancement of academic institutions and organisations.
In his current role, Assoc Prof Ravikant Thakur teaches subjects such as Highway Engineering, Concrete Technology, Earthquake Engineering, and Design of Steel Structures. Additionally, he is the esteemed Director of the CSLC Science Museum in Shimla, a prestigious government project under the Department of Science and Technology, with Shoolini University as a key partner.
As the Central PhD Coordinator, Assoc Prof Ravikant Thakur plays a pivotal role in guiding PhD candidates through their academic journey, ensuring timely publication, synopsis submission, and thesis defence.
Assoc Prof Ravikant Thakur is also a certified GIS professional, leveraging geospatial data to inform design and planning decisions.
