Priyanka Kumari

Assistant Professor

Priyanka Kumari is an Assistant Professor at Shoolini University. She has a distinguished academic background, having completed her post-doctorate at the Zoological Survey of India, Solan. She holds a PhD from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and earned her M Phil, Master’s, and Bachelor’s degrees from Punjabi University, Patiala. In 2010, she qualified for the UGC-NET in Life Sciences and was awarded the BSR Meritorious Fellowship. 

At Shoolini University, Asst Prof Priyanka Kumari teaches courses such as Comparative Anatomy of Vertebrates, Animal Physiology, Animal Taxonomy, and Diversity of Vertebrates. Besides her teaching responsibilities, she serves as the Examination Coordinator and Program Coordinator for the School of Biological and Environmental Sciences. 

Her research interests are diverse and impactful, focusing on taxonomic studies of insects, particularly the orders Hymenoptera and Lepidoptera. Additionally, she explores the nutraceutical and antioxidant potential of various bee products. Her scholarly work is well-recognised, with numerous high-quality research articles and book chapters published in reputable SCI and Scopus-indexed journals and books. Asst Prof Priyanka Kumari's innovative contributions to the field are highlighted by several patents filed and one copyright awarded.
