Prateek Guleria is an Assistant Professor at the MS Swaminathan School of Agriculture, Shoolini University. He holds a PhD from the School of Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering at Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences in Bajhol, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India. He has completed his master's degree from Bahra University in Waknaghat, Solan, and a bachelor's degree from LR Institute, Himachal Pradesh University in Solan.
During his doctoral research, he focused on leveraging advanced Lean Six Sigma tools to propose effective qualitative, quantitative, and sustainable solutions for industry challenges. His work aimed to provide guidance and innovative solutions to industry experts by addressing core issues such as workflow inefficiencies and errors.
His study's outcomes shed light on a new and efficient approach to addressing challenges faced by firms and industries, particularly in manufacturing. He developed a Lean Six Sigma model tailored for Indian Manufacturing Industries and validated its effectiveness through implementation in various automobile component manufacturing sectors.
He believes in using Lean and Six Sigma together because separately, they might not bring about the complete improvements needed. His research shows that combining both methodologies is crucial for making significant and long-lasting improvements in manufacturing processes and results.
