Maya Thapa is an Assistant Professor at the Yogananda School of AI and Data Science. Maya has a strong background in Computer Science and Engineering, focusing on Machine Learning and Deep Learning. She has done her Bachelor's from the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Institute of Engineering and Technology in Shimla. Then, she earned a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University.
Her dedication to research excellence is evident in her impressive achievements, which include working on image classification and Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) techniques. Maya also presented her work at the prestigious 2nd International Conference of Women Researchers in Electronics and Computing in 2023 (Publishing Partner: Springer). She received the Best Paper Presentation award at the conference.
Her teaching transcends traditional boundaries. She seamlessly merges theory with real-life applications, making subjects like Analysis and Design of Algorithms and Web Development come to life for her students.
