Mamta Chandel is an Assistant Professor at the School of Bioengineering and Food Technology. She earned her PhD from Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur. With a UGC NET qualification and an MSc in Food Science and Nutrition, Mamta's academic journey also includes achieving a Gold Medal in her undergraduate studies (BSc Hons, Home Science) from the same university.
Her research focus is on the Standardisation and Evaluation Oilseed/Pseudocereal-based Nutritious Bars for Geriatric. Asst Prof Chandel has made notable contributions to the field, publishing numerous high-quality research articles in respected journals with NAAS ratings. Her expertise lies in processing techniques applied to various oilseeds and pseudocereal seeds.
She teaches students about nutritional requirements throughout the lifecycle. Her hands-on experience in the field makes her an invaluable asset to the Bioengineering and Food Technology department.
