Ekta Singh is an Assistant Professor at Chitrakoot School of Liberal Arts, Shoolini University. Holding a PhD in Archaeology from HNB Garhwal University, her academic journey has been marked by a dedication to exploring the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Himalayan region.
Asst Prof Singh completed her master's degree in Ancient Indian History from Delhi University and pursued her undergraduate studies in History Honours from Banasthali University. Her academic pursuits have provided her with a comprehensive understanding of ancient civilisations and historical contexts.
Her research contributions extend beyond academia, with active involvement in national and international projects spanning India, Nepal, and Borneo. She has presented her work at prestigious international conferences held at Oxford University, Ireland, Vietnam, Italy, as well as in India. Additionally, she has published nine research papers and gained valuable experience as a research assistant in an ICSSR project.
Asst Prof Singh's research interests focuses on Himalayan studies encompassing archaeological, anthropological, historical, and ethnographical contexts. Her comprehensive approach to studying the Himalayan region allows for a nuanced understanding of its cultural heritage and historical development.
Beyond her academic pursuits, she has a passion for travel, exploring new cultures, and experiencing different cuisines. Her curiosity and love for discovery enrich her perspective and inform her research, contributing to a holistic understanding of the diverse Himalayan landscape.
