Babu Sundaram is the Director of Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Associate Dean of Engineering and Technology at Shoolini University. Sundaram completed his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Houston, Texas. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, where he graduated with a gold medal.
With 26 years of experience, he specialises in teaching and technology management, research, and mentoring. His groundbreaking work in grid computing, a precursor to cloud computing, focused on improving how resources are controlled in distributed systems.
Associate Dean Sundaram has interned at Google and Argonne National Laboratory and worked closely with industry and academic partners. His research areas include cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and analysing sentiment on social media.
He has received numerous international awards and recognitions for his work. An expert in IT management, he previously managed key IT services as the Director of Technology.
