Anshul Kumar Machhan is an Assistant Professor at the MS Swaminathan School of Agriculture. He was born and raised in Roharu (Shimla) and received his PhD in fruit Science with specialisation in Fruit Breeding and Molecular Biotechnology from Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry Nauni, Solan, HP, India. His primary scientific interests include fruit breeding, fruit production, plant nutrition, mutation breeding, and molecular biotechnology.
He has published different research and review articles in international journals and he is one of the recipients of National Identity number (IC- Number) IC-0647748, IC-0647749, IC-0647750, and IC-0647751 for 4 novel apple bud sports and has been registered by Plant Germplasm Registration Committee (PGRC) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) on November 22, 2023 at ICAR-NBPGR New Delhi, India having Indian Nation Germplasm Registration Number (INGR Number) INGR 20103, INGR 20104, INGR 20105 and INGR 20106 respectively. He also received the RASSA-Prof Ram Nath Singh Best PhD Thesis Award. He has additionally received the several awards in badminton, volleyball and athletics.
