Anshu Narula

Professor

Anshu Narula is a Visiting Professor of Practice at Shoolini University. He specialises in Pharma and Healthcare Management for MBA and B Pharma students. 

With over 33 years of progressive experience at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Limited, culminating in his role as Sales and Business Development Head for Dermatologicals in Northwest India, Prof Anshu brings a wealth of expertise. After opting for voluntary retirement in December 2023, he is committed to leveraging his skills and knowledge to drive impactful business outcomes. 

During his CSR secondment from GSK to an NGO from July to September 2012, Anshu contributed to the NGO's efforts that won the United Nations ESCAP Sasakawa Award for Disability-Inclusive Business of the Year 2013 in the Asia-Pacific region (Entrepreneurial category). The project focused on developing skills in business and consumer goods through the 'Trash to Cash' program for adults with disabilities at the Society for Child Development in Delhi. 

Prof Narula has a demonstrated track record in business development, identifying and capitalising on market opportunities to drive revenue growth with individual responsibility for revenue exceeding 150 Crore annually. He is skilled in crafting and executing strategic plans to optimise commercial performance and ensure sustainable business success, handling large teams, and developing comprehensive strategies and actionable plans to achieve business objectives. 

Adept at attracting, nurturing, and retaining top talent, Prof Narula has built high-performing teams and driven organisational change initiatives to adapt to evolving market dynamics and maximise competitiveness. His extensive geographical experience includes working in Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Union Territory of Chandigarh, and Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. 

Prof Narula's competencies span pharmaceutical sales and marketing, recruitment, training and placement, talent management, healthcare and pharmacy, projects and CSR, demand forecasting, channel management/KOL development, business planning, and data-based analysis and market research. He is also skilled in creating business solutions and possesses employability skills as a trainer, strategic thinking, collaboration, dynamic presentation, and innovation.
