Abhilasha Chauhan is an Assistant Professor at the School of Business Management, Shoolini University, with over 11 years of academic experience. She holds a PhD in Management from Jaypee University of Information Technology, Himachal Pradesh, India, and completed her MBA from Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana, Haryana.
Before joining Shoolini University, Asst Prof Chauhan served as an Assistant Professor at various esteemed institutions including Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University Dehradun; Bahra University, Waknaghat; and MMU Solan. She also worked as a teaching assistant at the H.S.S. department at JUIT, Solan.
Asst Prof Chauhan’s research interests span Behavioural Studies, Tourism Studies, Digital Marketing, Artificial Intelligence, and sustainability. She has a notable research profile with 118 citations and an H-Index of 5. Her research has been published in prestigious Scopus journals, including the Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics (ABDC ‘A’ Category). Her paper on ‘Destination Image of Indian Tourism Destinations: An Evaluation Using Correspondence Analysis’ received the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Circular Economy.
Beyond research, Asst Prof Chauhan has actively contributed to her previous institutions as the Head of Women Cell, member of E-cell, member of Research Development Cell, and PhD Coordinator. She also has experience in NAAC accreditation processes, showcasing her multifaceted contributions to the academic community.
Asst Prof Chauhan is committed to enhancing research and teaching skills, evident through her organisation of faculty development programs on research methodology, data analysis, and artificial intelligence. She has served as a resource person for various workshops and seminars and has made significant contributions by guiding undergraduate and graduate students. Additionally, Chauhan has served as a reviewer for esteemed journals like Current Issues in Tourism, showcasing her dedication to fostering academic and research growth.
