Shoolini University once again outshone, this time in welcoming its freshers for the new academic session. Hundreds of new students lit up the campus, eagerly looking for a fulfilling and exciting time ahead in the campus. They were greeted with a week-long induction program that was drawn out by Dean Students Welfare Ms. Poonam Nanda with meticulous care.
A large group of senior students volunteered to be a part of the ice-breaking event with new students. The aim was to make the freshers feel at home and to guide them as friends. Wearing University T-shirts, the "buddies" as the university calls them, played a crucial role in making it easy for the new students to settle down. Old students helped the new students by assisting to complete formalities, showing them around the campus, and taking care of them in any which way.
At the end of each day, engagement activities were conducted to help new students feel relaxed. The first day went off well with Zumba and other fun activities. The second day was kept for a writing assessment. Vice-Chancellor Prof PK Khosla also had an interaction with the students and welcomed them followed by an oath-taking ceremony. Students held discussions on ragging, drug abuse and road safety along with some outdoor leadership activities. On the same day, cricket and football matches were also held. On day three, a Yoga session and tree plantation activity took place.
New PG students were also welcomed on the same day. The day ended with a meet and greet session at the Open Air Theatre. Day Four was kept for sessions on Building Great Nation and Life Skills. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla also had a session with the students. A Club Mela was scheduled where students were encouraged to select the
the club they wanted to join. The club mela left everyone awestruck and the new students participated in the event with great enthusiasm. Old
students along with the faculty put all their efforts to make club mela a great success.
The induction week also gave an opportunity to every one to hear and interact with some renowned persons, which included former IAS officer and well-known motivational speaker Mr. Vivek Atray, IPS officer Mr. Mohit Chawla and Prof Arundeep Ahluwalia. They inspired every individual with their super vibrant session and left everyone spellbound with their experiences, knowledge, and learning.
The last day of the induction program was kept for the final online registration. After they were done with their last step to be the part of Shoolini University, the new students met with their respective faculty and had a great interaction.
Finally, after so many fun activities and such hectic schedules, a DJ evening was reserved for the last night. This is when everyone could relax and dance their hearts out.
