Placements off to a great start with Rs 12 lakh package for Shoolinian

Adding another feather to the cap of Shoolini University, Liechtenstein-based manufacturer Hilti has hired a Shoolinian Ashish Saini, at a package of Rs 12 lakh per annum.

A home-grown product of Shoolini University, who studied in the campus for five years, Ashish completed his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering followed by MBA.

Belonging to a lower middle class family from Mandi, where his father is posted as a Government employee in Irrigation and Public Health Department, Ashish completed his matric from DAV Centenary Public School, Mandi, before taking admission in Government Polytechnic College, Mandi.

Subsequently his quest for a good University landed him in Shoolini University where he completed his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering after taking a bank loan and earned a scholarship to pursue his MBA.

Elated at getting a dream job, Ashish said it was a gift he wanted to give to his parents on their 25th wedding anniversary.

He said that among the teachers who most inspired him were Prof Neeraj Gandotra, Prof Narender Verma and Prof Kuldeep Rojhe besides of course the Vice Chancellor Prof PK Khosla. He recalled that he approached pro Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla for a scholarship and that he can never forget his comments that “you are doing a great job... keep it up !”, while sanctioning the scholarship. He recalls that he can never forget these words as they meant a lot to him.

He also expressed his gratitude to Anuj Saini, Shashank Singh and Namita Gandotra for supporting and encouraging him.
