School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Shoolini University aims to impart quality education and enable students to pursue research in areas relevant to the region and country. Located inthe picturesque pines of Shimla Hills, the campus provides a serene environment for learning. NIRF ranking by Ministry of HRD, Government of India, 2019 ranked the school of pharmacy 39th among all Pharmacy colleges of India. The NIRF ranking has consistently placed us among the top 40 Pharma institutions for four years now. We are the only pharmacy school in Himachal Pradesh to acquire NIRF ranking.

Program Eductional Objective for B.Pharmacy

  • PEO1: shall be able to utilize their scientific and technical skills for drug and dosage forms development and meet the requirements of academia industry and research.
  • PEO2: shall be able to utilize their professional skills in the practice of Pharmacy as Hospital, Clinical or Community Pharmacists.
  • PEO3: shall follow principles of professional ethics, display effective communication skills and should be able to work as a team with fellow Pharmacists and other healthcare professionals for the benefit of society.
  • PEO4: should strive to pursue higher education, participate in continuous education programs and other related professional activities in order to keep abreast with the latest developments in the field.

Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences has formulated research groups with a focus on thematic areas.This helps everyone in the department to be involved in high-impact research of global relevance. The school has published around 120 research & review papers and filed around 20 patents. The faculty is involved in consultancy research projects with several research organizations and the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Natural Products/ synthetic based Drug Discovery: Phytochemical evaluation and Standardizations of medicinal plants, ayurvedic or other formulations; Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery Research.
  • Pharmacology and Toxicology: In vivo models for the brain, cardiac, respiratory, gastric problems, Diabetes, Obesity, Osteoporosis, Cancer, Malaria, microbial infections; &Toxicology
  • Drug Delivery Group: Formulation Development and evaluation of herbal drugs, nano-based formulations; Topical and transdermal drug delivery systems, Pharmacokinetic & stability studies, Implantable & targeted drug delivery systems.
