YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD FOR PhD SCHOLAR
Mr. Amit Thakur was awarded young scientist award in a National conference on “Recent advances in the Pharmaceutical Biotechnology with emphasis on Biodiversity conservation” organised by Dev Bhoomi group of institutions (D.B.G.I) Dehradun Utrakhand during Feb. 25-26 at Dehradun. This award was given to him in appreciation of his work on “Screening of bacterial isolates for bioremediation and plant growth promoting traits from the soils of Himachal Pradesh”.
Other scholars of the Department also presented their research work through oral as well as poster presentations: Sandip Patil (Oral presentation), Pooja Sharma (M.Phil student) and Poonam (M.Phil student). Their work was also commended by the committee.
Prior to this, Mr. Sandip Patil (Ph.D scholar of the Microbiology Department of this University) was also awarded Best Poster award in a National symposium on “Drug design and combinational Chemistry” organised by Rajaram Bapu College of Pharmacy Sangli ( Maharastra) during 26-27th jan 2012.
