Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences Students Activity Clubs get active

A one day open theatre workshop on theatre awareness commenced here on December 10th 2014 in Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences campus. The workshop was being organized by “The Dramebaaz Ckub” a student activity club of Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences and conducted by renowned theatre artist Mr. Kamal Arora who has been awarded by President of India with National Sangeet Natak Academy Award in 2010.

Mr. Arora has been the Director of Tagore Niketan College, Vice Chairman of Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Academy, has acted in more than 120 plays, 12 serials and 9 films, has directed more than 100 plays and dance dramas.

The workshop was being organized by the dramatics club of Shollini University to deepen the understanding of the techniques and nuances of the theater in the students and participants alike so that they may nurture a hidden talent if any, in them.  

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Arora reiterated the fact theatre plays an important role in improving and enhancing the communications skills, team work and diction and appearance of an individual.  He said that it is imperative to learn the nuances of drama and theatre for the students who have an inclination towards acting.

Another student activity club “Baware Bawarchi”  also came up with their maiden venture in the form of a competition amongst the students where the students got involved in making different varieties of Salads, Chats and Sandwiches.  The competition was judged by Professor Prem Kumar Khosla, Vice Chancellor Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences along with Professor Atul Khosla, Pro-Vice Chancellor Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences, Madam Saroj Khosla, President Foundation of Lifesciences and Business Management, Mr. Vishal Anand, CFO Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences and Asst. Prof. Malay Shrivastava from Food Technology.

Huma Afsan , Pooja and Sapn and Arti  from M Tech Biotech bagged the first prize for preparing cremay fruit chat, second position went to Tuhin, Divanshi, Krishna Ayush and Aditya Kamble from B Tech Food Tech  who relished the taste buds of the judges by preparing Russian Salad and third position went to B Com students Shreya, Shagun , Neha and Shiva who prepared Chana Chat and fruit chat.
