Shoolini Facuty bags Young Researcher Award
Dr. Atul Thakur a Professor in Centre of Excellence in Nanotechnology and Materials Science at Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences has been awarded Pronet Young Researcher Award in Nanotechnology by Pronet Foundation. Bangalore based Pronet Foundation is recognizing Young Scientists and Researchers in India doing significant work in the field of science and technology.
Dr. Thakur has received a cash prize of fifty thousand and a certificate of recognition for his contribution in the field of nanotechnology. Dr. Atul Thakur is working in the area of nanotechnology since 2001. He started his research carrier while doing M.Phil and Ph.D. from Himachal Pradesh University Shimla. After completing Ph.D., he was selected for the Post Doctorate position for two years in Electronics Department, University of BREST FRANCE. There, he worked on miniaturization of Patch Antenna Substrate by using Nanotechnology. Thereafter, again Dr. Thakur was selected for another Post doctorate position in World famous, National Taiwan University for Two years. There, he worked on High density memory storage materials using nanotechnology.
Dr. Thakur has many National and international collaborators like from National Taiwan University-Taiwan, Chung Yuan Christian University-Taiwan, University of Bath-UK, University of Brest France and many more.
He is a recipient of Young Scientist Award from Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. His areas of research are magneto-dielectric materials for antenna miniaturization, water purification and high density memory storage devices. He has published more than 50 papers in International Journals.
