M. Tech Student Awarded MEXT Scholarship at University of Tokyo
Shoolini University M. Tech student Mr. Prashant Kandwal has recently received a MEXT Scholarship worth Rs. 50 lakhs from University of Tokyo. This is the 14th best university in the world and Mr. Kandwal will soon be joining the university to pursue his PhD program.
This is the 15th such coveted scholarship received by a Shoolini Student in the last 2 months. The University of Tokyo, which ranks 14th just after Cornell University, New York, would exempt Mr. Kandwal from paying the tuition fees. In addition to that, the university has awarded him with a fellowship of Rs. 10.44 lakh a year, which accounts for Rs. 87000 a month.
Mr. Kandwal will work alongside Prof. Toru Fujiwara at the Laboratory of Plant Nutrition and Fertilizers, Department of Applied Biology Chemistry, Graduate School of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the University of Tokyo. During his M. Tech program at Shoolini University, Mr. Kandwal was mentored by Prof. Adesh K Saini from the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Biotechnology.
