A delegation consisting of three members under the Chairmanship of Prof P.K.Khosla, Vice Chancellor, Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences, is back after 12 days academic tour from August 24 to September 4, 2014 to China and Taiwan. In China the delegation attended the Himalayan University Consortium (HUC) meet from 24-26 August, 2014 and Cultural Roundtable Conference on the Silk Road Economic belt, 23-27 August, at Lanzhou University, Lanzhou, China. The HUC meet was attended by delegates from India, China, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan alongwith a host of experts on mountain development from Scandinavian countries, Europe and USA. This offered an excellent opportunity to the delegation to develop international tie-ups. Prof M.Hadi Hedayati, Vice Chancellor, Kabul University has requested the Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences to assist them in establishing College of Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering at Kabul University.
