UK University strengthens ties with Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences

Prof Poonam Singh, Course Director Biotechnology of Ulster University of Northern Ireland is on a visit to Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences, Solan to identify and prioritize areas of collaboration in research and education between the two universities.
The visit is as a follow up of MoU which was signed by Prof PK Khosla, Vice Chancellor, Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences when he visited UK in May this year as a delegate to ‘UK-India Skills and Training Partnership Conference’ organized by the Indian High Commission....

Inspire camp at Shoolini comes to an end

A five day innovation program, Inspire, on innovation in Science research concluded on the campus of Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences today.

The Department of Science & Technology, Government of India organized the program to promote Science among the students who were among the top 1% toppers from the various schools in Himachal.

SHOOLINI INDUCTION UPDATE

I am pleased to inform you that the initial induction for around 300 U.G. students was conducted on 22nd July 2015 (B.Tech: Biotechnology, Food Technology, Bioinformatics, Nanotechnology, Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, BSc: Biotechnology, Microbiology, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, B.Com, BBA, BA Economics). For the convenience of those students who have deferred their admission for the above courses as a result of re-examination of entrance test for AIPMT by the order of Hon’ble Supreme Court, or for any other reason, Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences is arranging second induction for such student on 12th August 2015.To overcome the problem of late entry, classes for such students will be held separately to cover with the course work and safeguard the time loss. All students who desire to seek admissions to these courses are required to avail this option. For P.G. students, the first induction for M.Tech: Biotechnology, Food Technology, Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, MSc: Biotechnology, Microbiology, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, M.Pharma, MBA, M.Phil, Ph.D is scheduled on 12th August 2015. In its pursuit of providing International exposure Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences is sending six students to Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan for one semester commencing from Feburary 2015.Hemlata Shandilya, Srijita Nundy, Savita Verma, Yogita Negi, Gulshan Parmar and Shama from Msc Physics First and Second year, have been selected under this international student exchange program.  They shall conduct research in the frontier areas of Nanotechnology by utilizing latest equipments.
