The university invites application for following research positions under the projects funded by National Mission of Himalayan Studies (NMHS), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) on purely temporary basis for a period of three years.

Himalayan Junior Research Fellow# Comparative evaluation of an endangered plant: Saussurea costus from different altitudinal & geographical locations in Himalayan region: M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Botany or any relevant area with NET. Experience in research area on medicinal plants or plant diversity. 25,000/- + HRA
@ 8% per month for first two years and Rs. 28,000/- +
HRA @ 8% for third year*, **

3. Himalayan Junior Project Fellow# Returning Taxus to the Forests and the People: a study in Shimla and Kullu Districts of the Indian Himalayan Region MSc in Life Sciences or Environmental Sciences or any relevant area
Age Limit: 28 Years
Experience in research area on Ecology with expertise in remote sensing and GIS Rs 16,000 only per month for first two years and Rs 18,000 per month for third year**
