Anurag Kumar is an Assistant Professor at the MS Swaminathan School of Agriculture, Shoolini University, Solan (HP) India. He has qualified ICAR-NET (2014) and completed PhD (2017) in Genetics and Plant Breeding from Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj, Faizabad (UP) in India. He holds two years of strategic research experience of working on Development of Chickpea varieties tolerant to heat stress at Indian Institute of Pulses Research Kanpur (UP) India.

His academic contributions include several NASS rated research papers, popular articles and conference papers, poster presentations, etc. Kumar has been honored with the Young Scientist Award (ICFA 2018) and Gold Medal (ICAAAS-2018) in recognition of his research quality, novelty and significance. He is also a reviewer in several scientific journals in his field and is a Lifetime member of societies like Uttar Pradesh Council of Agricultural Research (UPCAR), Trends in Biosciences and Advances in Life Sciences Journals.
