Dr Poonia received his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IITR), India from the department of Biotechnology (2020) and qualified Gate exam in 2010. He was a Post-Doctoral Fellow (1/04/2020 to 14/12/2020) in the Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IITR).
His area of expertise is Crop Transformation and Plant Molecular Biology and Plant Genetic engineering via Agrobacterium-Mediated Transformation and Biolistic Gene Method.
