Solan, March 23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

iHUB Shoolini<\/strong> organised a two-day \u0018Hackathon\u0019<\/strong> on Application of AI in Healthcare 4.0, Industry 4.0 and Smart Cities<\/strong> with the support of iHUB DivyaSampark, Technology Innovation Hub, a joint initiative of DST, Government of India (GoI) and IIT Roorkee. The Hackathon explored the potential of AI in revolutionising the healthcare industry and contributing to the development of smart cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iHUB Shoolini Coordinator Prof Deepak Kumar<\/a><\/strong> delivered the welcome address and introduced the audience to iHUB and the purpose of the Hackathon. He also highlighted the agreement to establish iHUB Shoolini<\/a>, which Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla<\/a><\/strong> and iHUB DivyaSampark CEO Manish Anand<\/a><\/strong> signed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof Deepak talked about adopting advanced devices and technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, telemedicine, AR and VR, wearable systems, mobile health apps, data analysis, and smart living. He also highlighted the importance of Government of India programmes like \u0018Make in India\u0019, \u0018Skill India\u0019 and \u0018Atmanirbhar Bharat\u0019<\/strong> in complementing Samarth Udyog Bharat 4.0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shoolini University Chancellor Prof PK Khosla<\/a><\/strong> talked about the need for innovation and the potential of Artificial Intelligence. Faculty of Engineering Dean Prof Virender Rihani<\/a><\/strong> addressed the audience and explained the basics of AI and its applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two expert talks were delivered by renowned professors from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi. IQAC Director Prof Pawan Kumar Dhar<\/a><\/strong> delivered a talk on the application of AI in healthcare. Prof Ram Sagar Mishra<\/a><\/strong>, professor at JNU, spoke on the history and application of AI in drug discovery. After the expert talks, students presented their innovative ideas on the application of AI in healthcare, industry, and smart cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentations were judged by experts from pharma, AI, CSE, and biotechnology. The event was attended by students from various departments, including the School of AI, Computer Sciences<\/a>, Biotechnology<\/a>, Food Technology<\/a>, Agriculture<\/a>, and Pharmacy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
